Hand-painted silk requires delicate care so that the colours remain true and bright.
Although the colours are fixed, you can maintain them in the following way: Before washing silk garments, iron the back of the piece (determined by the hemming) at the highest setting, then wash in cold water without detergent (instead of detergent, you can use a few drops of shampoo) and iron the back of the piece again (natural silk can be ironed at the highest setting).
