My second home in the Gothic apse
The first archbishop of Split, Ivan Ravenjanin, founded in the 7th century the church of St. Michael on the seashore (in ripa maris)… After its demolition in the 20th century, only the semicircular Gothic apse carved into the western wall of Diocletian’s palace remained.
Today it is a sales and exhibition gallery of the BBENKUS brand. On the walls in the interior of the stone grows Lady’s hair, an extremely rare type of fern in these areas.
My guests from all over the world do not remain indifferent to the rich history of Imperial Split, Diocletian’s Palace and my unusual gallery. With reverence for the spirit of the past, I bring life to this space that has become my second home.
In that happy place, of only 7 square meters, proudly reside art, silk, a raised glass and my realized dreams.
